Registration

  • CASE/MO-CASE Members receive the special conference rate of $340 if registered by August 19, 2019. You must provide your CEC Member ID Number when registering to receive this rate.
  • CASE/MO-CASE Members receive the special conference rate of $370 when registering between August 20, 2019 through September 6, 2019. You must provide your CEC Member ID Number when registering to receive this rate.
  • CASE/MO-CASE Members who register after September 7, 2019 will receive a special rate of $420. You must provide your CEC Member ID Number when registering to receive this rate.

42nd Annual MO-CASE Special Education Administrators' Conference

PLEASE NOTE!  YOU MAY ONLY CHOOSE THE MEMBER RATE IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF CEC AND CASE!   You will be contacted for your CEC ID#.  If you do not have one, your registration will be changed to reflect the $465 rate.  

The 2019 Special Education Administrators’ Conference will again open on Sunday afternoon with a Law Seminar beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Selected attorneys will present on legal issues and practical strategies for responding to legal challenges.  

Following the Sunday Law Seminar, an Awards Banquet and Dinner will be from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. where all award winners and Charles Cummings Scholarship recipients will be honored.  

Monday morning’s General Session will begin with dynamite Keynote Speaker, John O'Connor.  Directly following the General Session,  DESE will address multiple important topics. The General Session will conclude at 11:30 a.m. The afternoon will allow attendees opportunity to select from many quality breakout sessions.  The program provided for you features invited speakers and panel members from local school districts, DESE, colleges and universities and private practitioners.

John O'Connor

John O'Connor has led school improvement initiatives at the state and local level during his 28 years in public education.  He started his career as a special education teacher serving students with orthopedic impariments in elementary and middle schools.  Since that time, he has held a variety of administrative positions.  For nine years while working at the Georgia Department of Education, he led state-wide initiatives to improve the achievement of students with disabilities.  He has also served in local districts as an Assistant Director for Special Education, Executive Director for Special Services, Assistant Superintendent for Student Services and Director for Interventions.  John has written four books, including his most recent, Great Instruction, Great Achievement for Students with Disabilities:  a Road Map for Special Education Administrators.  He has also co-written a textbook chapter, a desk guide and numerous articles.

Anastasia (Stacy) Kalamaros Skalski, Ph.D.

Anastasia (Stacy) Kalamaros Skalski, Ph.D. is the Director of Professional Policy and Practice for the National Association of School Psychologists. In this capacity, she works collaboratively with national and state leaders, education and mental health professionals, and public officials to advocate for the alignment of research, policy, and practice at the state and federal level.  Her primary focus is on promoting high quality educational practices and student services, and comprehensive coordinated school-based mental health services.  Dr. Skalski has over 25 years of professional experience in the field of school psychology having previously served as the Coordinator of Mental Health Services for the Douglas County Schools (CO), as an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Colorado-Denver, and as a school psychologist practitioner for the Douglas County and Cherry Creek Schools (CO).

You must identify yourself as a MO-CASE Special Education Administrators’ Conference attendee in order to receive this special rate. If registering online, the special code is CASE.

Reservations must be made on or before the cut-off date of Thursday, August 22, 2019 in order to receive the special room rate. More rooms are available in the Main Resort.

Tan-Tar-A is committed to making your stay as comfortable as possible. Wireless Internet will be available FREE to all attendees.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All Cancellations and refunds will be processed after the conference.  Full refunds, less a $25.00 processing fee per registration will be made if written requests are received no later than FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2019. Cancellations received after this date will not be refunded.

No-shows will not be refunded.
