Gayle completed her undergraduate work at the University of Missouri–Columbia receiving a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, and she completed her graduate work earning a Masters degree in Elementary Administration from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and an Educational Specialist degree in School-wide Systems and Superintendence from Webster University. During her career she held positions with the Special School District (St. Louis) as a special education teacher, area coordinator and director of special education. Gayle participated in a dual contract with Webster Groves School District as a director/liaison and then accepted the position as the Director of Student Services and later an interim elementary principal. Gayle finished her public education career in Joplin as an elementary principal. After retirement from public schools Gayle accepted a program mentor position with Western Governor’s University in the Teacher’s College, BASPEE (Bachelor of Art, Special Education/Elementary Education) program. Gayle has a long history with special education organizations. She is a past president of MO-CEC, and a past board member for MO-CASE. Gayle became the Executive Director for MO-CASE on March 1, 2020.
Dr. Karla Arnold, Director of Innovation and Learning Email Contact: karla.arnold@mo-case.org Dr. Arnold has been in the field of special education since 1981. She is currently the Director of Innovation and Learning with MO-CASE . She was the Legislative Chair for the MO-CASE Board of Directors prior to her retirement from the public school setting. Prior to retiring, Dr. Arnold was the Director of Exceptional Education with the Kansas City Public School District for 8 years, and the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services with the Excelsior Springs School District for 15 years. She began her career in education as a speech language pathologist. Dr. Arnold holds a Bachelor of Health Science degree in the area of Speech Pathology-Audiology, a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration, an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Administration, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration. |
